Wednesday, November 5, 2008 | 6:33 PM | 0Comment 2nd day we had a welcoming celebration that day. the teachers and students were all very kind to all of us. some gave us gifts too. all sooo kind to us. as we had to attend lessons with them that day, i managed to know more about them and know some friends. when i went into the classroom that we were appointed to, many students were smiling, welcomeing us. however, i felt a special connection with a student. she kept smiling to me throughout the whole lesson as if i know her before i came to suzhou. but it is actually my first time meeting her. i was quite surprised when she kept smiling at me.that day was fine. nothing much to say... 3rd day we went to the farm to experience the hard work of a farmer. when we reached there, we found out that we had to pull out the sweet potato from the soil. most of the girls were disguisted by the scene. there were many insects crawling on the soil in front of us. it was a horrible sight. at that time, i suddenly regreted my decision to come to suzhou.to make it worse, we had blood dish for lunch. i felt like vomiting. it is actually chicken blood made into cubes. quite disguisting. in all, the whole meal was horrible. the soup was super oily and the dishes were all salty!!!! later, we went to the temple nearby. it is also a tourist attraction.[i think] the temple quite big. very nice. learnt many things in the about the temple too. the most funniest thing is that everyone pestered the teachers to let sit on the "car". [the golf also have one] in all still ok. 4th day BEST DAY EVER! went shopping. that day is the day when the students 'parents will bring us out. sooo fun lol. first went to zhuo zheng yuan( one of the attractions of suzhou). pretty nice!! got many pretty flowers. learnt lots about the history. later went to friend's house to eat lunch. played fun games with her two elder sisters too. ate da zai xie. one of the speciality. best during this season. super delicious. after that, we went shopping. too bad our buddy did not like shopping. angie and i had a lot of fun shopping and bought many things. the items were soo cheap and we could not resist the urge to buy. |
